Joining a programming competition like this takes time and energy. Apart from the prize, here are a few reasons why your efforts will be worth it.
In Codegoda, you’ll compete globally and will have a platform to demonstrate your skills and knowledge of algorithms, data structures, logical reasoning, and more to solve algorithmic problems.
If you are looking to take on a new job in the future, a programming competition such as Codegoda gives you credibility and becomes a good highlight on your resume. Fun fact: if your skills are a match, you may land a job in Agoda’s tech team!
In a programming competition like Codegoda, you will solve problems in a limited time frame (in this case, 5 hours). This will help you be more disciplined and efficient – qualities key to becoming a better coder.
The overall score will be determined by test cases (problems).
Submission time will be counted by how many minutes have passed after the event start time, per question.
Each incorrect submission will result in a five-minute time penalty.
The finalized list of winners will be announced on the website codegoda.io and our YouTube channel on July 25th, 2021 at 3PM ICT. Eligible winners will also be contacted via email.
To be eligible for the iPad Air and Apple Pencil prize, share about Codegoda on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, or Instagram using hashtag #Codegoda. The post must be public to be counted as an entry. We’ll randomize all eligible posts and give a lucky winner the iPad Air (Wifi + Cellular, 256GB) and Apple Pencil. Codegoda 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, 17 July 2021, from 2 PM (Indochina Time)
InterviewBit is the competition platform that we use for Codegoda. You’ll register, compete, and also receive competition communications from the platform, including registration confirmation and your result.
5 hours, from 2-7 PM (Indochina Time). Submissions after the cut-off time will be invalid.
The competition platform supports 19 coding languages, including Python (python-2.7), C (gcc-4.8), C# (gmcs 3.2.8), Bash (bash 4.0.35), PHP (php 5.5.9), JavaScript (ES6), Scala (scala-2.11.4), MySQL (MySQL 5.6), Swift, Objective-C (clang 3.3), C++17 (gcc-9.2), Java7 (open-jdk-1.7.0), Text (text 6.10), GO (1.8), Python 3 (python-3.5), R (R-3.5.1), Java 8 (array support), Java 8 (oracle-jdk-1.8), and Ruby 2 (ruby-2.0).
The winner is the person who gets the highest score. If more than one person has the same score, submission time will be factored in. Note that each re-submission will result in a 5-minute time penalty.
Yes! Coders at all levels are welcome.
Agoda will select a few participants for a fast-track interview process in Agoda’s tech team. If we find a fit for an open role, a job offer will be made to the participants.
